This tool supports standard Lottie animations in the .json format, which is what most design tools export by default. Files up to 2MB are accepted, which comfortably covers the vast majority of UI animations. If a file will not load, it is usually because the JSON is not actually a Lottie animation, the file is over the size limit, or the export is incomplete.
Compressed dotLottie (.lottie) files are not supported in this version yet. If you have a dotLottie file, export or convert it to plain JSON first, then try again. Animations hosted at a URL also need to be downloaded as a JSON file before you can drop them in.
If a file does not play, the JSON may be invalid, incomplete, or not a Lottie animation at all. Start by re-exporting the animation from your design tool and loading the fresh file. If you pasted raw JSON, make sure you copied the entire object — a truncated paste is the most common reason a render fails.
If your animation is hosted at a URL, download the JSON file first and upload it directly, because the tool reads files locally rather than fetching remote URLs. And if an animation looks different than expected, check the background swatch — a transparent animation can be hard to see on the wrong background, so try switching to white or dark to confirm the artwork is actually there.
